About Tiger Tots
At Tiger Tots, we provide a safe nurturing learning environment for children ages 2–6. All the programs have similar educational goals, values, and philosophy. In each of the programs, activities and materials are planned in a developmentally appropriate manner within a challenging and exciting learning environment. Play sets the stage for learning and provides the medium through which the children may imitate, explore, test ideas, acquire information and draw conclusions. Our program emphasizes the fostering of positive self–image, socialization and recognizes the uniqueness of each child.
About Our Community of Learners All of our teachers are qualified educators, many of whom have been with Tiger Tots for several years. They work as a team to develop and implement meaningful and engaging programs for children, based on emergent curriculum planning techniques. Our teachers and teaching assistants are dedicated to participation in ongoing professional development and are also committed to, and encourage, active parent involvement and communication. Together, our love for children and the quality of education we offer creates a wonderful community of learners.

Registration Prospective families should fill out a waiting list application which can be downloaded off the TYPA web site or picked up at the front desk at either campus. There is no fee for wait placement. Upon completion of the form, all new families will be contacted for a required visitation when space becomes available.
A non–refundable registration fee of $15,000 per semester is required for each child upon his/her acceptance into the program.
Tuition for Fall semester must be paid in full by June 30. Tuition for Spring semester must be paid in full upon registration in November. No refunds or credits will be given (toward TYPA or Tiger Tots programs) after those dates unless families are leaving Taiwan. If tuition is not paid by the due date, it will be assumed the child will not attend. Registration/tuition fees may be paid by cash, check or credit card. If parents choose to take a vacation during scheduled school days, tuition will not be refunded or credited for the child’s time away from preschool.
All Tiger Tots class fees cover one full semester. Classes are available once a minimum number of participants have been reached.
Withdrawal Policy A minimum of two weeks written notice is required for withdrawal from all Tiger Tots programs. Please inquire at the TYPA office for a withdrawal form or download one from the TYPA web site. Families who must leave Tiger Tots before the tenth week of the semester because of relocation may receive a tuition refund for the amount of the semester not used. No refunds will be given after October 14, 2011 for the fall semester or after March 9, 2012 for the spring semester. The registration fee is non–refundable.
Semester Dates Fall semester begins on August 22, 2011. The first semester finishes December 16, 2011. Spring semester is January 3, 2012 to May 25, 2012. Holidays and “no school” days closely follow the Taipei American School calendar. Please refer to our calendar of important dates.
Lunch A hot lunch is available for full-day children. At Tiger Tots Place the school provides fresh fruit and orders lunches from local restaurants that have reputations for good food and hygienic food preparation practices. We order lunches from Taipei American School food services for Pre-K and K children. Lunch is pre-ordered on a monthly basis, however, parents can choose to send in a home lunch instead or a mixture of both choices for their child.

Drop Off & Pick Up At both campuses, children may be dropped off at their classroom door between 8:30am and 9:00am. At Tiger Tots you may also drop off your child with a teacher’s assistant beginning at 8:30. At the TYPA campus assistant teachers will await your children in front of the downstairs lobby beginning at 8:45. If you are driving, please be sure to allow our staff to safely transport your child from the car into school. We respectfully ask that children are picked up promptly at the end of class time.
