About Our Community of Learners

All of our teachers are qualified educators. They work as a team to develop and implement meaningful and engaging programs for children, based on emergent curriculum planning techniques.

Our teachers and teaching assistants are dedicated to participation in ongoing professional development and are also committed to, and encourage, active parent involvement and communication.

Together, our love for children and the quality of education we offer creates a wonderful community of learners.

Registration

Prospective families should fill out a waiting list application and survey forms, which can be downloaded from the TYPA website or picked up at the front desk at either campus. There is no fee for waiting list placement. Upon completion of the forms, new families may be contacted for a required visitation before registration.

A non-refundable registration fee of $15,000 per semester is required for each child upon his/her acceptance into the program.

Tuition for Fall semester must be paid in full by May 31. Tuition for Spring semester must be paid in full upon registration in November. No refunds or credits will be given (toward TYPA or Tiger Tots programs) after tuition due dates, unless families are leaving Taiwan. If tuition is not paid by the due date, it will be assumed the child will not attend. If parents choose to take a vacation during scheduled school days, tuition will not be refunded or credited for the child’s time away from preschool.

All Tiger Tots class fees cover one full semester. Classes are offered once a minimum number of participants has been reached.

Withdrawal Policy

A minimum of two weeks written notice is required for withdrawal from all Tiger Tots programs.

Please inquire at the TYPA office for a withdrawal form or download one from the TYPA website.

Families who must leave Tiger Tots because of relocation to another country may receive a tuition refund for the amount of the semester not used. If the family relocates, a refund will only be issued if the withdrawal is before October 19, 2024 for the fall semester or before March 15, 2025 for the spring semester. The registration fee is non-refundable.

Force Majeure

Please be aware that TYPA / Tiger Tots may be ordered to temporarily or permanently close or alter its operations, or may decide to, as a result of a Force Majeure event.

Force Majeure, is any event beyond the reasonable control of TYPA / Tiger Tots including but not limited to natural disaster, accident, war, civil unrest, outbreak of disease, and compliance with law or government order.

TYPA / Tiger Tots shall make reasonable efforts to provide recreational / educational services and activities during the Force Majeure event, but TYPA / Tiger Tots has no liability arising therefrom. TYPA / Tiger Tots will have no obligation to pay tuition, fees or issue credits in the event of any Force Majeure event.

Lunch

A hot lunch is available for full-day children. Tiger Tots Place provides fresh fruit and orders lunches from local vendors who have demonstrated hygienic food preparation and provide healthy lunch choices.

We order lunches from Taipei American School food services for Pre-K and K children. Lunch orders are placed in advance per semester. Parents can choose to send in a home lunch or a mixture or both choices for their child as well.

Locations

Drop Off & Pick Up

At both campuses, children may be dropped off between 8:30am and 9:00am. If you are driving, please be sure to allow our staff to safely transport your child from the car into school. We respectfully ask that children arrive to school on time and are picked up promptly at the end of class time.

Important Dates

Parent-Teacher Orientation will take place during the week of August 12, 2024. Children will accompany parents to visitations as scheduled by the teacher.
