GENERAL INFORMATION

First semester dance classes concentrate on fundamentals, techniques, flexibility, and body placement. Second semester dance classes concentrate on performing skills. Students will also learn a choreographed routine to be performed in the Spring Dance Recital in May. For maximum benefit, we recommend students begin their dance studies in the fall and continue into the spring.

Note

All of the dance classes (except Baby Ballet) will perform on stage for the Spring Dance Show. Please be aware that there will be additional costs for costumes and registration.

Dress Code Policy

The TYPA Dance Department has a dress code for all dance classes. It is the student’s responsibility to acquire the appropriate attire necessary for individual classes.
TYPA does not sell or otherwise provide uniforms. Students are required to purchase their own uniforms from a local retailer or with assistance from the dance instructor. Families, please contact your dance instructor for further assistance if needed.
