Tiggers Pre-2s Playgroup will meet either two, three or five days each week, depending on the schedule you choose at registration. The classroom is located at the Tiger Tots Campus.
This playgroup program will comprise of informal sessions during which children come together to socialize and have fun in an air-conditioned, clean, relaxed and friendly environment. The experience will help your child gain an understanding of what school is about, and foster a positive attitude towards it, through stories, songs, drama, music and play.
By providing stimulating and age-appropriate equipment, activities and materials, the children will become more independent, be encouraged to make appropriate choices, solve problems and make discoveries, through moving and doing. Our little Tiggers will learn about themselves and how to relate to others.
It can take some time for young toddlers to feel secure and comfortable in a group environment, to seek out familiar adults for support and to develop increased social skills. To ease this transition, a parent - or other familiar caregiver - may remain in the classroom until the teaching staff indicates that a separation is appropriate and can be comfortably accomplished.
Parent-Teacher Orientation for the Tiggers class will take place during the week of August 13. Children will accompany parents to visitations as scheduled by the teacher.
