DRESS CODE POLICY

The TYPA Dance Department has a dress code for all dance classes. It is the student’s responsibility to acquire the appropriate attire necessary for individual classes.

Appropriate Classroom Attire

Dancers should wear loose fitting clothes and tap shoes with socks.

COURSES

Tap 1

One of the best ways to start our children’s dance life is through tap dance. In this introductory class, body and feet coordination will be practiced. Students will become comfortable wearing tap shoes, and they will become familiar with tap rhythm. Have fun tapping with us!

Tap 2

Basic Tap steps and routines will be introduced. This class will improve students’ coordination, sensitivity to rhythm, agility and timing.

Tap 2 and Tap 3 require instructor’s consent.

Tap 3

More advanced tap techniques and skills will be taught in the class and a complex combination of feet and body movements will be emphasized. Tap dance routines and choreography will be practiced in the class.
