Taekwondo – Building Confidence and Character
One of the most rewarding moments of the week is seeing the confidence in our campers' eyes as they leave their Taekwondo class on Friday.
At the beginning of the week, many campers have never learned how to punch or kick correctly. Through daily practice and encouragement, they quickly develop the basic skills and knowledge of self-defense while growing in confidence with every lesson.
Taekwondo is about much more than learning self-defense. It teaches respect, discipline, perseverance, and kindness toward others. These are important values that we hope every child takes away from their experience at TYPA Summer Day Camp—both on and off the training mat.

Activity Beads – Creating with Confidence
Activity Beads is one of the most popular activities at TYPA Summer Day Camp. Using colourful, non-toxic beads, campers create their own unique designs while developing creativity, patience, and concentration.
The best part is seeing the pride on their faces as they complete their projects. Especially for our younger campers, each finished creation is a reminder that with focus and perseverance, they can overcome challenges and achieve something wonderful.
At TYPA, every bead tells a story of confidence, determination, and success.
