Code Wizards Club

Learn to code the right way, through problem solving and interactive projects. Enjoy learning some of the top programming languages, JavaScript, and Python. Students will get hands on with a range of tools, from motion sensing Star Wars interfaces to Sphero robots. Skyrock Coding Workbook included with all of our Code Wizzard courses.

Course

Code Wizards 1

Code Wizards 1 is where students will learn the foundations of coding and code blocks in a fun but educational way. Students will learn how to decompose and recognize patterns followed by understanding basic computer logic and sequencing. Following this they will learn to use loops to simplify their code.

Code Wizards 2

In Code Wizards 2 students will be using the block coding fundamentals to make cool programs that make art, move robots and more. Students will learn all about using block code, from using logic to animate images to building their own functions that can make decisions with Booleans and conditional statements. Getting hands on with cutting edge educational technologies like Microbits and Sphero students learn about how to receive data from sensors and send data to output devices.

Code Wizards 3

Code wizards 3 is the final level of coding where students are challenged to take their code from blocks to scripts. Students explore scripting with some of the top computer languages like JavaScript and Python. Students will explore how to make interactive art by creating animations using JavaScript, and using Python students will begin to explore data science and how code can be used to manipulate large amounts of data.
